About Atlanta Garage Epoxy Floors
Locally owned. Commercial-grade materials. Every installation backed by a written warranty.
Atlanta Garage Epoxy Floors is a locally owned concrete floor coating contractor serving the Atlanta metro and surrounding counties. We specialize exclusively in epoxy and polyaspartic floor coating — garage floors, basement floors, commercial floors, and concrete repair — which means every member of our crew has installed hundreds of these systems and understands what Atlanta's climate demands from a coating installation.
Why We Focus on Atlanta Specifically
Floor coating isn't the same job in every market. Atlanta's combination of red clay soil (which creates persistent moisture vapor emission in slabs), high summer humidity, intense UV exposure, and stop-and-go traffic that heats tires to 150°F+ creates failure conditions that don't exist in most of the country. A water-based epoxy kit that installs fine in Minneapolis will blister in an Alpharetta garage the first summer. An aromatic epoxy topcoat that looks good in Portland will yellow in a Buckhead garage with a south-facing door within two years.
We built our material specifications around what Atlanta's climate actually requires: vapor-block primers for clay-soil neighborhoods, aliphatic polyaspartic topcoats for UV stability and hot-tire resistance, and diamond grinding as the non-negotiable prep method — not acid wash, not power washing, not any shortcut that costs less because it delivers less.
Our Material Standards
We don't install water-based epoxy systems or aromatic topcoats. Every residential and commercial installation uses commercial-grade materials: 100%-solids epoxy base coats, aliphatic polyaspartic topcoats (Penntek, Citadel, or equivalent commercial-grade product), and penetrating or vapor-block primer matched to the slab's tested moisture vapor emission rate. These materials cost more than the products in hardware-store DIY kits or low-bid contractor packages. The floor performs differently because the materials are doing fundamentally different things.
We specify every material in writing before the job starts. Every quote we provide includes the specific product names of the primer, base coat, and topcoat we'll install — not "professional-grade epoxy" as a generic claim, but actual product specifications you can research independently. This transparency is how we demonstrate that the materials match the marketing.
Our Process
Every installation follows the same sequence, without shortcuts:
On-site assessment: We visit your garage, assess the concrete condition, test for moisture vapor emission, document crack and spall inventory, check for prior coatings, and assess any contamination. This determines the prep scope and primer specification — the two variables that control whether the system bonds permanently.
Written quote: We provide an itemized written quote that separates prep scope from coating scope. You know exactly what prep work is planned, what materials are being installed, and what the warranty covers before you sign anything.
Diamond grinding: Day 1 is always prep — mechanical diamond grinding to open the concrete surface to the profile required for adhesion, crack and spall repair, and complete cleaning. No coatings on Day 1.
Coating application: Primer, base coat with full-flake broadcast, and aliphatic polyaspartic topcoat are applied in sequence on Day 2, with proper cure windows between each coat.
Final inspection: We walk through the finished floor with you before we call the job complete. Any area that doesn't meet the standard is addressed on the spot.
Service Area
We serve the Atlanta metro including Buckhead, Sandy Springs, Marietta, Alpharetta, Smyrna, Decatur, Roswell, Peachtree City, and surrounding areas. Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, Forsyth, Cherokee, Fayette, and Clayton counties are all in our regular service area. Call to confirm availability for your specific location.
Warranty
Every installation includes a written warranty covering delamination, hot-tire lift, and coating failure attributable to materials or workmanship. The warranty is transferable to subsequent owners of the property — which means it's a documented value-add at the time of resale, not a certificate that expires when you sell the house. Warranty terms are provided in writing before the job starts, not as a certificate delivered after you've already paid.
